Freeport ME Market Update for Dec

A total of 6 homes in Freeport ME sold in November 2011. This was a 50% increase in sales volume compared to last year at this time, although it was a decrease month over month. The average price for a Freeport home sold in November was 326K, which was a 27% increase compared to October 2011. The average number of days on the market for homes that sold in Freeport was 119.

Housing Report Freeport, ME 2nd Quarter 2011

During the 2nd quarter of 2011 the residential market for Freeport Maine has decreased in transaction volume by 36%. While 33 homes were sold in the same period last year, just 21 homes sold this quarter. Although fewer homes have sold this quarter, this reflects the success of last year’s tax credit program for home buyers – transaction volumes are more similar to the 2009 year. Freeport Maine home prices have risen by 25%, up to an average of 300K this year, from last year’s 240K median price.

Freeport, Maine housing market update – May 2011

The real estate markets of Freeport Maine in the month of May say 6 homes and condos sell at a median sales price of 255K. This represents a volume increase of 20% month over month but a volume decrease of 33% year over year.. not big surprise as we continue to see the residual effects of the housing tax credit expiration. The median sales price however was up 9% year over year.. a trend seen throughout the entire greater Portland housing region! Inventories are on the rise, but this is very typical for this time of year.
