During the month of January 2012, 17 single family homes were sold in Portland Maine. This was a 26% decrease from the previous month and a 15% drop in sales volume compared to last year at this time. The median price point was 215K, identical to last year during the month of January. The average number of days on the market for Portland homes was 123 – up from last month.

In October 2011, there was a 24% drop in sales volume compared to the year before. With 13 sales during the month of October, this was also a 19% drop since September 2011. The average price has risen by 15% year over year to 205K. This is also a 16% yearly increase.
